Fabric knitting process
A well-made product starts from the ground up.
Organic cotton is called organic when it’s grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. This includes avoiding any irrigation water, synthetic fertilisers, or the use of pesticides. Organic cultivation also reduces the potential negative impact of cotton production on local water quality and biodiversity.
As well as the environmental benefits, certified organic cotton is not only a sustainable product but a better product that’s stronger, softer, and more durable. All our basics are constructed using our custom Melbourne knitted GOTS certified 100% organic cotton.
Once the yarn has been knitted to our custom 140gsm weight the fabric is transferred to the local dyehouse where it is dyed, quality control checked, and finished into ready to cut fabric rolls.
All Bandsome basics are certified by The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) which is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres.
